Solid Sit-Downs: Jamie Fort, Project Manager

Jamie's passion for organization and planning led them to excel in project management. With a love for rom-coms and a preference for sour candy, Jamie brings authenticity, integrity, and empathy to delivering outstanding customer service.

Meet Jamie Fort, a California native who’s made their way to Indiana. With 6 years of project management experience in website development and an additional 5.5 years in Operations, Jamie brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. When not immersed in work, you can catch Jamie shopping, relaxing at coffee shops, or trying out new restaurants. Get to know the person behind the expertise as we take you on a journey through Jamie’s world.

What inspired you to become a project manager?

I sort of stumbled into my first role as a PM, but I quickly realized I was a natural and was meant to do it. Since I was young, I’ve always been very organized and enjoyed using a planner, making checklists, or making spreadsheets … I love creating a plan and making it come to fruition.

What is your approach to providing great customer service?

Authenticity, integrity and empathy. I am a strong believer in being who you are and doing what you say you’ll do. I’ve found that those characteristics resonate positively with people and can quickly earn trust and respect. Understanding what someone is feeling so you can connect and understand them is also key.

Who is your tech or design inspiration?

My best friend, Lauren. She is a very talented graphic/web designer and I’ve learned so much from her over the years. She never fails to impress me with her knowledge and creativity.

What is a tip you can give to someone that is interested in a similar career path as you?

Practice/refine your skills, seek more knowledge, and absorb the wisdom of colleagues or others in the industry.

What are some of your hobbies outside of work?

  1. Shopping – I love skincare and interior design
  2. Watching movies/shows
  3. Playing bass guitar

What is your favorite movie?

I can’t think of a favorite right now, but I love a good ole rom-com or something that pulls on the heartstrings.

What is your favorite type of food?

Mexican/tacos! Being from Southern California, it’s my nostalgic, comfort food.
