The State of B2B SaaS Marketing

What do successful B2B SaaS marketing teams have in common? No, that isn’t a riddle. It is in fact, one of several questions that prompted us to research and report on The State of B2B SaaS.

Download this comprehensive report to gain access to our findings on what B2B SaaS companies are doing. We dug deep into each organization’s martech stack and marketing tools to get a better idea of how B2B SaaS marketing teams are operating and then aggregated our findings.

We hope other B2B SaaS marketing teams can learn from these findings and use the data to make better informed decisions for their brands.

Our report is a sample of 195 B2B SaaS companies in the US across multiple verticals.

We looked at things like:

The most popular martech stacks including CMS and CRM

Top design features such as the use of mega menus to guide the user journey

Image demonstrating security

The amount and type of content being published

And more!

We have worked with numerous B2B SaaS companies over the years and it’s always interesting to learn what they have in common, but also where they diverge. Our team took on this research project not just because of our own curiosity, but so that we could share the results with our clients and other B2B SaaS organizations.

The data we collected gives so much insight into what the majority of the sample is using for specific needs such as their CMS or hosting provider and what design trends are present on the majority of websites we reviewed. In the end, one of the most interesting findings to me was that the CMS we recommend as an agency – WordPress, which we think is a great fit for B2B SaaS clients – is in fact the CMS of choice for over 50% of our sample companies. We always want to know what others are doing and how we can better advise and assist our own clients and  reviewing and considering what’s next for B2B SaaS has given me a lot to think about for the future of the industry.
